Ever wondered what goes on at Australia’s only nuclear research reactor but never had a chance to visit?
This Australia Day, ANSTO is coming to you with loads of fun and interesting facts about science you never thought possible.
For instance, did you know that some of our researchers have identified potential new treatments for Alzheimer’s or that our scientists have found new clues to climate change patterns using nuclear science?
All this information and more will be offered up by the ANSTO team at Sydney’s Cronulla Beach as part of Sutherland Shire Council’s Australia Day Celebrations.
Visit us at the ANSTO stall at Cronulla Park from 12pm to 6pm - we have loads of fun toys like beach balls and brain teasers for the kids and we’re happy to have a chat about the amazing work our scientists are involved in.
A gold coin donation will get you one of these great items and all proceeds will go towards the Queensland Flood Recovery effort.
So don’t miss out on the fun this Australia Day holiday. Come down to Cronulla to say g’day to the ANSTO team and have fun while learning more about the remarkable world of nuclear science.
