Today, the Program Advisory Committee chaired by Prof. George Collins (Swinburne University of Technology), met to assess the scientific merit of beam-time and deuteration proposals submitted for time between January and June 2013 (on Taipan) and April and June 2013 (for the other thermal instruments).
In general, the impression was that the quality of both proposals and external reviewing has improved again.
58 thermal-neutron experiments were recommended for approval, with beam time allocations as follows: 41 days on Echidna, 48 days on Wombat, 46 days on Kowari, 54 days on Koala and 55 days on Taipan.
