Today we signed a contract with NECSA, the Nuclear Energy Corporation of South Africa, for the provision of a control and data-acquisition system for the new strain scanner at their SAFARI-1 research reactor, just outside Pretoria.
The system is closely modelled on our system for KOWARI.
As part of the project, a number of NECSA personnel will be coming to the Institute, under fellowships funded by the International Atomic Energy Agency.
