Michelle has an impressive resume with background experience of corporate governance, financial management, and leadership across the education, research and corporate sectors.

Michelle Durant said: “I am really excited to take on this role. With the new membership structure, AINSE is well positioned to explore new opportunities and improve links with research and industry, and I am very pleased to lead the company on that journey.”

AINSE plays an important role within the scientific user community with 40 members including individuals, universities and scientific and engineering organisations. AINSE plays a key role linking members to the expertise at ANSTO and building up the nuclear science and engineering pipeline of researchers.

The AINSE Board looks forward to working with Michelle to build AINSE through an expanded membership base and the development of new/updated programs.
