Today, the Beam Instruments Advisory Group, chaired by Dr. Dan Neumann (NIST Center for Neutron Research, USA), met to review progress on all of our major capital projects, including the $37M Neutron Beam Expansion Project.
The Beam Instruments Advisory group works cooperatively which is held together by members from several Universities across the world. The group consists of; Dan Neumann, Ken Andersen, Craig Buckley, Michi Furusaka, Ian Gentle, Eberhard Lehmann, Greg Warr and Steve Wilkins.
To date the Beam Instruments Advisory Group has successfully managed the design, construction, installation and commissioning of the initial set of instruments at the OPAL reactor. The latter includes the BILBY Time-of-Flight Small-Angle Instrument, the DINGO Neutron Radiography/Tomography/Imaging Station, and the EMU Back-Scattering Spectrometer.
