Work performed in collaboration with Chenwei Liu's group at National Dong Hwa University, in Taiwan, using our KOALA Laue diffractometer, has been published in Inorganic. Chem.
The full reference is "Hydrido Copper Clusters Supported by Dithiocarbamates: Oxidative Hydride Removal and Neutron Diffraction Analysis of [Cu7(H){S2C(aza-15-crown-5)}6", by P.-K. Liao, C.-S. Fang, A. J. Edwards, S. Kahlal, J.-Y. Saillard and C. W. Liu.
Our single-crystal neutron diffraction work clearly shows the presence of an encapsulated hydride within the tri-capped tetrahedral seven copper cluster.
As chance would have it, Prof. Liu's group (shown right at the diffractometer with instrument scientist Alison Edwards) were at the Institute performing their next experiment, when the paper appeared.
