ANSTO scientist unveiled to speak at TEDxSydney 2014

The event, which will take place on Saturday, 26 April at the Sydney Opera House, is a first for Sydney and has been curated to feature 16 Australians who “aim to change the world” with thought provoking ideas and inspiring personal stories.

Richard Banati’s talk will ask “Is recycling actually good for the planet?” and share his research on the feathers of sea birds, and how our shift to using recycled plastic may have resulted in ocean pollution on a nano scale.
 
Richard will be the first ANSTO speaker at a TEDx event and talks at the event reach an audience that spans more than 130 countries.
