The team of Anna Sokolova, Andrew Whitten and Liliana de Campo, who are currently commissioning the new BILBY time-of-flight small-angle neutron scattering instrument, have taken the first fully analysed broad-band data sets. The data have been processed and analysed using the MANTID software, with a significant number of ANSTO-specific modifications. Two examples are shown below:
1. High-resolution data (with 4.5% Δλ/λ), over a wavelength band of 4 to 15 Å , from close-packed micelles of block copolymer F127 in heavy water.
2. Data on each of BILBY and the KOOKABURRA ultra-small-angle neutron scattering instrument, from diamond-type cubosomes based on phytantriol. The BILBY data are in absolute units, covering wavelengths between 3 and 10 Å, while the KOOKABURRA data are also in absolute units, after desmearing . The BILBY data cover from 10-3 to 1 Å -1, and the KOOKABURRA data clearly have significant overlap, as well as extending the Q-range down to ~5.10-5 Å -1.
