New board member for ANSTO

ANSTO Chairman, Dr Ziggy Switkowski, today announced that business woman Ms Christine McLoughlin is the latest addition to the ANSTO Board.

Dr Switkowski welcomed Ms McLoughlin’s appointment, which will be for four years, and said her business experience, particularly in the area of reputation and risk management, would extend the skill set around the board table in areas of special relevance to ANSTO.

“Christine has had a successful career in a variety of industries with a focus on change and performance management,” he said.

Ms McLoughlin has had roles in major Australian public companies such as Optus Communications and AMP Limited. She was General Manager for the Office of the Chief Executive Officer for AMP from 2002-2004 after holding previous AMP roles in legal and corporate services. From 2005-2008 she headed Group Executive Strategy, People and Reputation for Insurance Australia Group (IAG).

Currently Ms McLoughlin is a non-executive director of the AMP Foundation and the Governing Council of Chief Executive Women.

Ms McLoughlin has a Bachelor of Arts and Bachelor of Law with Honours from the Australian National University.

“I would like to take this opportunity to welcome Ms McLoughlin to the ANSTO Board and look forward to working with her and the rest of the ANSTO Board,” Dr Switkowski concluded.
