Beam time allocations for first half of 2014

The Program Advisory Committee chaired by Prof. Anton Middelberg (University of Queensland), has met to assess the scientific merit of beam-time and deuteration proposals submitted for time between January and June 2014.

In general, the impression was that the quality of both proposals and external reviewing has been maintained. 80 thermal-neutron experiments were recommended for approval, with beam time allocations as follows: 73 days on ECHIDNA, 82 days on WOMBAT, 77 days on KOWARI, 81 days on KOALA, 70 days on TAIPAN, and 28 on DINGO (subject to getting its operating licence).

This committee meeting was the last for Anton Middelberg, and we sincerely thank him for his service and advice over the last few years.
