50 Papers from our SAXS Instrument

We have recently passed the milestone of producing 50 refereed articles from our Bruker Laboratory Small-Angle X-ray Scattering instrument.

The instrument, which was originally procured in 2005 (1) to support a range of ANSTO's internal research projects; and (2) to support the small-angle neutron scattering program on QUOKKA, as the OPAL Reactor came on line in 2006, was at the time the highest performance SAXS instrument in Australia, and the only one in the Sydney basin.

That title has now passed, of course, to the newer SAXS/WAXS machine at the Australian Synchrotron in Melbourne.  Of the 54 publications so far, four also feature neutron data from QUOKKA and a fifth involves ANSTO's Bio-deuteration facility.

Congratulations to both Tracey Hanley and Robert Knott who have been responsible, in turn, for the SAXS instrument and who are authors on 22 and 14 of the articles, respectively.
