Following the ASX announcment from Lithium Australia NL, General Manager of ANSTO Minerals, Robert Gee commented:

“At ANSTO Minerals we lend our scientific expertise, and world-leading infrastructure and capabilities, to help answer questions and solve problems,” he said.

“Right now we are working with around 30 organisations in the minerals industry, helping solve their challenging extraction issues, and reduce costs of production in relation to metal products.

“This is about helping minerals companies to efficiently get the information they need, by working with them from laboratory through to demonstration plant-scale operations.”

“At ANSTO Minerals we work with uranium, rare earths and speciality metals, and lithium is one of those speciality metals that is a point of growing focus,” he said.

“That focus is, of course, being driven by interest in the growing use of lithium-ion batteries, and this is an exciting opportunity to work on novel technology and recovery processes.

“We are looking forward to helping Lithium Australia Limited to achieve their goals.”
