The general public is invited to a public lecture about physiology and obesity by Professor Michael Cowley at the Australian Nuclear Science and Technology Organisation on Wednesday 12 May.
Professor Cowley, from Monash University, is a world authority on the causes of obesity and is the latest speaker in ANSTO’s Distinguished Lecture Series.
He will discuss his discoveries which have shown how chemicals in the brain regulate food intake and energy expenditure – and how promising studies have the potential to unlock solutions to the obesity epidemic.
