The B3 Workshop welcomed two new apprentices recently as part of ANSTO’s 2014 apprenticeship program. We are currently seeking committed applicants who possess an enthusiasm to learn and develop new skills to join the 2015 apprenticeship program at ANSTO.
By expanding ANSTO’s recruitment strategies (in line with the objectives of ANSTO's Gender Equity Program) we’re encouraging highly skilled applicants of both genders to join our team.
Kris Blacka completed a pre-apprenticeship in automotive repair prior to joining ANSTO, and is now embarking on a Mechanical engineering fitter and machinist qualification.
Annice Tonkin, who has held various contracting support roles here at ANSTO, was successful in securing an apprenticeship in Metal fabrication.
Kris and Annice also happen to be the first female apprentices for ANSTO in these fields.
Apprentices at ANSTO get the opportunity to gain experience in a range of mechanical and engineering fields, as well as the fabrication and maintenance of scientific instruments.
ANSTO is now seeking applicants for its 2015 Apprenticeship Program. Successful applicants will gain a nationally recognised qualification while working. Apply today and earn while you learn in a safe and nurturing environment, supporting women in trades.
