KOWARI the third instrument at OPAL to exceed 100 publications!

After 8 years of an open user program, the KOWARI Strain Scanner has reached a milestone of 100 journal papers published in variety of materials and engineering journals and is still counting.

The strain/stress and texture measurements on KOWARI cover for wide range of topics from conventional and modern manufacturing and joining, to geological, planetary and even cultural heritage studies. Below is a word cloud produced from the titles of the journal articles.

This success was possible through a combination of excellent OPAL reactor availability and reliability, dedication of ACNS technical and scientific staff, and of course the efforts of the many KOWARI users from Australia and around the world.
