Today, our nuclear regulator ARPANSA issued the commissioning license for OPAL's 9th neutron beam instrument, the SIKA cold-neutron 3-axis spectrometer.
SIKA has been constructed by the National Central University, under an agreement with the National Science Council of Taiwan, which has funded the construction of this state-of-the-art instrument.
Once the instrument enters its full operational phase in 2013, the National Synchrotron Radiation Research Center will take over responsibility for operating SIKA.
