Today, OPAL's cold neutron source was warmed up, as a preventive measure, in order to investigate some issues with its cryogenic system.
These appear to be unrelated to the main compressors, aside from the fact that the whole system is being restarted for the first time in over a year.
The cold source will likely be out of operation for at least a week, and we will make further announcements as new information becomes available.
