This week, we took delivery of a compact helium-liquifier system.
Once it is installed, it will allow us to recover helium from our "wet" cryogenic systems, and this will both reduce costs and give us some measure of independence from restrictions to the supply of liquid helium.
We have also done acceptance testing on our new Oxford Instruments 11-T horizontal-field cryomagnet, which is mainly intended for small-angle scattering experiments, like those on vortex flux-line lattices in superconductors.
