ANSTO and Monash have undertaken many individual research collaborations over the years, the new formal agreement will help facilitate knowledge sharing and create new training and development opportunities for researchers from both organisations.
In particular, the common research areas of biomedical imaging, cancer therapy, accelerator science and neutron science are expected to benefit greatly from the agreement.
Maximising national and international research facilities, resources and funding through meaningful partnerships and collaborations, such as this, is an important strategic goal for ANSTO.
