Today, ANSTO and the Australian Synchrotron hosted the final meeting of the Characterisation Council, which was formed in 2007, following a round of funding under the National Collaborative Research Infrastructure Strategy.
ANSTO has provided administration support and handled finances for the Council since its inception, under the leadership of Peter Holden and Greta Moraes.
Past and present Council chairs, Bob Watts and Peter Coldrey attended, along with other Council members and the leadership teams from each of the Australian Synchrotron, the Australian Microscopy and Microanalysis Research Facility, the National Imaging Facility, the National Deuteration Facility and OPAL.
