Erica Smyth elected to prestigious fellowship

The CEO of ANSTO) Dr Adi Paterson has congratulated  ANSTO Board Member, Ms Erica Smyth on being elected as a Fellow of the Australian Academy of Technological Sciences and Engineering (ATSE). 

Erica has over 30 years of experience as a geologist and later as a corporate affairs general manager in the mineral and petroleum industries. 

She is currently the Chairman of Toro Energy Limited, Scitech, ScreenWest and the Diabetes Research Foundation of WA, a director of RFDS Western Operations and Emeco Holdings Limited, as well as an ANSTO Board Member. 

ATSE Fellows are part of an exclusive and prestigious group of Australians that discuss scientific, technological and engineering developments both in Australia and internationally, and provide advice based on their expertise. 

Erica joins a growing number of ANSTO staff recognised by ATSE, including Dr Paterson, Professor David Cohen, Professor John Boldeman and Dr Lou Vance, and Board Members Dr Susan Pond, Professor Paul Greenfield and Professor Judy Raper. 

“This prestigious award is well deserved recognition for Erica’s years of dedicated work to enhance technological sciences and engineering in Australia, including her work on the ANSTO Board,” Dr Paterson said.
