Please join us in congratulating both the Chemical Deuteration team (shown right) and Max Avdeev, who were separately shortlisted finalists for the inaugural ANSTO Awards in Nuclear Science and Technology. Three awards, for Early-Career Achievement, Sustained Contribution to ANSTO and the George Collins Award for Innovation, were presented at a gala event last night in the ANSTO Cafe.
The Chemical Deuteration Team were nominated for the Early-Career Award, but shortlisted for the George Collins Award for Innovation, while Max Avdeev was nominated and shortlisted for the Career Achievement Award.
The Institute also received an honorable mention, for the contribution of our KOWARI strain scanner, in Michael Saleh's success with the Early Career prize. Michael, from ANSTO's Institute of Materials Engineering, is one of the power users of KOWARI.
