Staff moving on to new opportunities

Three of the Institute's early-career researchers, who have been based with us for the last few years are moving on to new opportunities at leading overseas research institutions.

The institutions that are involved in research opportunities abroad include the following:

(1)  Saurabh Kabra leaves us after a successful postdoctoral fellowship to become instrument scientist on the ENGIN-X strain scanner at the ISIS Spallation Neutron Source in the UK;

(2) Thomas Saerbeck, a PhD student with the Physics Department at University of Western Australia but 100% based in the Institute, joins Ivan Schuller's group at University of California in San Diego as a postdoctoral fellow; and

(3) Kun Yan, a PhD student in Materials Science at University of Wollongong, and again 100% based in the Institute, joins Phil Withers's group at University of Manchester in the UK, as a postdoctoral fellow.  We wish them all well!
