How will the GIANT project forge future global innovation?

In Grenoble, at the heart of the French Alps are a group of some 6,000 researchers, 5,000 students, 5,000 industrial jobs and 300 residents who together are generating an estimated 5,000 publications and 500 patents annually that are helping drive the world's future innovation.

This is the GIANT project and its aim is to address the major societal challenges of our time from information and communication to energy and healthcare and they're achieving this end by putting large investments into organising the closest possible collaboration between scientists, educators, students and industry.

Its partners include research organisations, local authorities, players in higher education and industry whose academic and economic goals are aligned with this approach.
