Farewell to AONSA Fellow

On Tuesday we farewelled Dr. Xinzhi Liu, from the China Institute of Atomic Energy in Beijing. Xinzhi has been working at the Australian Centre for Neutron Scattering for the past 12 months as an AONSA Young Research Fellow.  Travel support for the scheme is provided by the Asia-Oceania Neutron Scattering Association, a pan-Asian federation of user societies, including the Australian Neutron Beam Users Group.

Xinzhi completed a number of experiments from the Australian Centre for Neutron Scattering staff including Frank Klose on PLATYPUS, Kirrily Rule on TAIPAN and  Andrew Studer on WOMBAT.

We wish him all the best as he returns to the China Institute of Atomic Energy as an instrument scientist and look forward to welcoming him back in the future as a collaborator and user.
