Colourful success at the Discovery Centre

Young visitors to the Australian Nuclear Science and Technology Organisation (ANSTO) Discovery Centre’s Up and Atom Tours were invited to participate in the ‘School Holiday Colouring In Competition’.

Their task was to colour in a picture of Gerry Gentech, one of ANSTO's popular cartoon characters.

All participants received a small prize for entering the competition and at the conclusion of the school holidays the very difficult job of judging the many entries was done.

The judges chose Giaan (5 years), Thomas (6 years) and Brooke (11 years) as winners of the three different age groups with each winner receiving a fantastic science toy or game.

The popularity of the competition has ensured that it will be repeated, with different cartoon characters, during future school holiday periods.
