During this week's regular short reactor shutdown, the heart of our new DINGO neutron imaging station was successfully implanted.
After months of planning, design, manufacturing and training, the real task of installing the in-pile collimator for DINGO has passed its final test .
A team of 12 technicians, engineers and scientists worked to make this critical task happen and ensured the reactor was able to start refuelling on schedule, to be back to power as planned.
It was the first time during the DINGO project where members from different parts of ANSTO were working together and created a great team spirit.
Thanks to everyone involved!
