Kookaburra has landed

The major components of our new KOOKABURRA Ultra-Small-Angle-Neutron-Scattering instrument have been delivered and located in their position in the OPAL Neutron Guide Hall.

 

The motion stages for the multi-bounce perfect-silicon crystals before and after the sample, and the large granite table.  The KOOKABURRA project is managed by Dr. Christine Rehm, and is expected to take its first neutrons early in 2013.
