Science, fact or fiction to be hit of Melbourne Science Week

Could light sabres really exist? What about an invisibility cloak or a flying car? Nuclear scientists from ANSTO will unravel the great mysteries of science fiction for audiences today as part of Melbourne Science Week.

Media are invited to this event where host Peter Berner will show scenes from classic science fiction hits before inviting audiences to use keypads to vote on which technologies are now a reality and which are still the stuff of daydreams.

The sometimes surprising truth about the latest scientific advances will then be explained by ANSTO scientists.
