Prominent visitors from Chinese Academy of Sciences

Today we hosted three visitors from the Fujian Institute of Research on the Structure of Matter: Prof Maochun Hong, Prof Jiyang Wang and Prof Ning Ye. The Fujian Institute of Research on the Structure of Matter is one of the most famous and earliest established materials-research institutes in China, and it focuses on studies of structural chemistry and novel crystal materials.

Prof Hong is the current director of the  Fujian Institute of Research on the Structure of Matter and is a member of the Chinese Academy of Sciences.

They gave two lectures in the field of non-linear optical materials and expressed great interests in using Bragg Institute's neutron scattering facilities in their research. They are also interested in establishing long-term collaborations with Bragg Institute.
