Peak Resources: ANSTO begins pilot plant leach recovery
Pilot plant test work, now under way at an ANSTO Minerals plant in Australia, holds the key to Peak's low-cost processing route for its Ngualla rare earth project in Tanzania.
The leach recovery pilot plant, which will treat 2t of concentrate containing over 40% REO, is a key step in the 3-stage process flowsheet that will take Ngualla's unique bastnasite mineralisation to high-purity separated rare earth products. The testwork results will provide detailed engineering data for the project BFS due early next year.
