The Australian Nuclear Science Technology Organisation (ANSTO) supported the Asia-Oceania Conference on Neutron Scattering held in Sydney in late July. Neutron scattering professionals from around the world gathered to discuss and share their findings as well as the latest developments in neutron scattering techniques.
The Asia-Oceania Neutron Scattering Association (AONSA) is offering a young research fellowship in a program that was established in 2014 to support highly talented young scientists in the Asia-Oceania region and help them to develop their expertise and a career in neutron science and technology.
The program provides financial support for Fellows to visit major neutron facilities in the region for collaborative research using neutrons. Any young scientist in the Asia-Oceania region within 8 years of the completion of his/her PhD and who wishes to perform neutron research at major neutron facilities in the region can apply.
Hosting Neutron Facilities are J-PARC (Japan), OPAL at ANSTO (Australia), and HANARO at KAERI (Korea). A total of three Fellowship positions are available in the application round, one for each hosting facility, and the possible duration of each Fellowship visit is three to 12 months.
Please read the guidelines and send your applications electronically to the AONSA Office by 31 August 2015.
